In January 2014 we opened the Learning Centre for Tribal Youth. The Centre supports 75 youth coming from poor socio-economic families living in tribal villages by giving them quality English training along with basic computer skills to promote and assist with education initiatives at the household as well as community level.
Furthermore, we are running 3 community-based computer centres where a total of 225 marginalised youth have access to computer training close by their home. Through the project we want to empower these youth with the right skills to enable them to become self-reliant and confident and better equip them for their future job or further studies. Access to computer training in this area is very rare and only a few learning institutions have computers.
Through the project we hope to develop a group of students who can become agents of change and develop awareness among the community regarding the importance of education and literacy.
