ViSSEVASSE Kolkata poster

The Kolkata fund-raising poster was created as a collaboration between LittleBigHelp and the Danish design and paper studio, ViSSEVASSE, to celebrate LittleBigHelp's ten-year anniversary, in 2020. Three children launch little paper boats in front of the iconic Victoria Memorial. The boats symbolize the children’s opportunities and dreams, which they launch with a deepfelt belief that dreams can in fact come true. Med LittleBigHelps korte erhvervsuddannelser opnår kvinder en større grad af autonomi og frigørelse. De tilegner sig en færdighed, der gør, at de kan tjene deres egne penge, ved at få et arbejde i en virksomhed, eller starte deres egen.

Et Start Up Kit kan være starten på denne personlige og økonomiske selvstændighed. Et Start Up Kit tilbydes til de kvinder, der har gennemført vores korte erhvervsuddannelser. Dem, der har gennemført skrædderuddannelsen får tilskud til køb af en symaskine, og dem, der har gennemført kosmetolog-uddannelsen får en taske med et kit bestående af produkter, frisørsaks og pedicuresæt.

LittleBigHelp was founded in 2010 by Lisbeth Johansen. Giving up a career as a hotel sales director, Lisbeth decided to pursue her dream of helping people in India who don’t have access to the same human rights, healthcare and educational opportunities as in developed countries. Several years of travelling and volunteering in India gave her the insight she needed into the complex Indian culture and socio-economic challenges to start LittleBigHelp in Kolkata, West Bengal. Listen to the inspiring presentation while Lisbeth takes you from the top of the Hotel industry to the bottom of the slum in India.
